Maiden Speech Festival launched in 2017 with an amazing collection of theatre productions by talented women, the majority of which were LBQ. In 2018 we're excited to say that they're back with new productions.
Shows created by LBQ women include Roxane Bourges' Sincerely, Jodie, Katie Paterson's Minor Disruptions and Kayla Feldman's Hear Me Out. Sincerely, Jodie features openly queer characters and Minor Disruptions was created using a queer theoretical lens.
I have to be honest, in that I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this performance.
A one-woman performance from a white woman from Paris, France about Sex and Hip Hop - but I was advised it was absolutely on theme - talking about bisexuality so I cleared my schedule and returned to Theatre N16 for the second night in a row!
