Georgia Paterson

Georgia played on the Green Stage at L Fest 2015.

What is your artist name?
Georgia Paterson

How would you describe what you do?
I'm a singer/songwriter of folky acoustic pop. I'm going to let someone else tell you a bit more!

"Georgia Paterson merges catchy hook laden nuggets with lyrics that draw you in and make you want to know more. Her songs are refreshing and she looks like she loves what she does...certainly one to watch."  Alan Thompson, BBC Radio Wales

How long have you being performing/working?
I've been performing on and off for years - it's been my full time passion for about 3 years now.

What has been the highlight of your career to date?
That would have to be when I was featured as Welsh artist of the week on BBC Radio Wales last year with my debut single 'Thought It Might Be You'.

Have you worked/performed for/with anyone famous?
Aled Richards from Catatonia played the drums on my debut single - which was amazing for me as I'm a huge Catatonia fan! Earlier this year I did a live radio where I performed a track from my new EP. The song has a sing-along 'Na Na Nah' bit in it and the presenter of the show Wynne Evans (the opera singer on the Go Compare adverts) sang along with me!

If you could perform/work with anyone, who would it be?
This is a tough one - so many people! But top of the list would have to be The Indigo Girls, I adore them!

What is your guilty pleasure?
Sausage sandwiches - I could eat them all day every day.... and crisps....and chocolate....ok actually pretty much all junk food! It's my one vice that I haven't quite conquered yet!

Tell us one secret about yourself...
I talk to the robins in the garden! Is that weird? They even answer me sometimes, honestly!!

GPHow and why did you get into this profession?
I've always loved music -  I grew up in a musical family and I started learning piano when I was 6. It's always been my dream to pursue music as a career and after the odd false start here and there along the way, I finally took the plunge and quit my day job so it's music all the way for me now.

When you're not working what do you like to do to chill out?
I love relaxing with my wife in the garden of an evening, in front of the fire pit with a glass of wine. I also love walking by the sea, especially along the Wales coast path - it's so beautiful!

Where Can we find more information?
My website had got more information and links to my twitter, facebook, youtube etc. It's also got some free music! Check it out at
