Posted by Planet Nation on 08 March 2014

Usually a 4 piece band, however for this intimate performance, Steph and Chris did a one off acoustic stripped down set for Chick Habit. They did some covers and some of their own material, focusing on a country and blues sort of sound, just the two of them and a guitar.

With toe-tapping, floor filling music, this event really starts to kick off at 11 as the women pour in.

The music, supplied by DJ Sandra D and guests, was a lively, eclectic mix reminiscent of Popstarz in its old school days, guaranteed to fill the floor.

Bah-Humbug - the uncelebration of what's wrong with Christmas (VG Lee & Rose Collis)

Posted by Editor on 17 December 2013

Rose Collis opened with her banjo and stories of gender bending christmases past, with plenty of dramatic dyke-ness in a style not unlike that of "grumpy old women" but more interesting and funnier. For example, did you know that christmas cards were invented by the man who invented the stamp. Capitalism at its best. And over 1.8bn cards are send each year in the UK.

Laughing Cows London - seriously funny

Posted by Editor on 06 December 2013

Upstairs at Retro, with a dedicated bar, and fold out seats, Maureen welcomes the audience and is the most gracious host, as well as a cuttingly observant MC. From the Saga crew, to the Hounslow crew, no one was safe from this wit. Maureen also took us on a journey of new jokes, innuendo and Europe, during the introductions.

Comedy Review: Mae Martin Slumber Party @ Soho Theatre

Posted by Editor on 11 October 2013

"Come What Mae"

From the warm welcoming, understated entrance, it's like a humorous 'getting to know' a new best friend. Mae is charming, witty and modest. She tells tales about those familiar milestones of growing up with compassion and hilarious facial expressions. She's a self confessed Harry Potter erotica fan.
